This distinctive plant has stunning green leaves with red veins and pink undersides. It earned its name because of the way the leaves fold together at night, like hands closed in prayer. Best known for its colourful, patterned leaves that move up and down with daylight, the Prayer Plant is, of course, a member of the Calathea family. An ideal choice for anyone new to plant parenting, it makes the perfect gift in a stylish ceramic ribbed pot, with our own B&D mister.

These pots are glazed and finished by hand, which means you may notice some minor imperfections such as small surface bubbles or light variations in colour.

What you might not know about this colourful Calathea, is that the Prayer Plant is actually a trailing plant and in more mature specimens you’ll see it start to grow horizontally and eventually trail downwards with its colourful leaves cascading.

Returns

If you'd like to return a living item, let the team know within 30 days by emailing hello@beardsanddaisies.co.uk or live chat if online. Please attach a photo of the faulty or damaged plant. Other items can be returned for a refund within 30 days as long as they're unused and in re-saleable condition.

Flower and plant deliveries will be sent separately; add ons such as cards or gifts will arrive with your flower order. You'll receive dispatch emails containing tracking information to keep you updated on the process of your deliveries.

Your plant has been on quite the adventure to get to you, so it might need a drink and some time to adjust to its new home. It’s perfectly normal that it may be showing some minor signs of stress after shipment.

If your plant is damaged beyond what you’d expect, let us know within 30 days, and a friendly member of the Plant Folk will be able to help you. All you need to do is take a couple of pictures of the problem area and one of the whole plant and send them to hello@beardsanddaisies.co.uk. We’ll then make things right as quickly as we can, so you can get on with enjoying plant parenthood.
