Kentia Palm - Howea Forsteriana
An easy to care for plant with fresh green leaves that fan out. The Kentia Palm can tolerate low light. It is one of the best plants for improving air quality, removing toxins such as formaldehyde, ammonia and carbon monoxide from the air, this makes it an ideal home and office plant. It is native to Lord Howe Island in Australia.

Light Requirements
Kentia palms prefer bright, indirect light but can tolerate lower light conditions, making them versatile for various indoor spaces. Avoid exposing them to direct sunlight, which can scorch their leaves.

Watering
Allow the top few inches of soil to dry out before watering. Water thoroughly until it drains out of the bottom, but avoid letting the plant sit in water. During winter, reduce watering as the plant’s growth slows. Overwatering can lead to root rot.

Humidity
Kentia palms appreciate higher humidity levels, but they can tolerate average household humidity. If the air in your home is very dry, consider occasional misting or using a humidity tray.

Temperature
They thrive in temperatures between 18°C and 27°C and should be protected from cold drafts and temperatures below 13°C. Avoid placing them near heating vents or air conditioners.

Soil
Use a well-draining potting mix. A palm or tropical plant mix works well, or mix standard potting soil with sand or perlite for improved drainage.

Feeding
Feed Kentia palms during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer every 4-6 weeks. Skip fertilizing in the autumn and winter when the plant is not actively growing.

Pruning & Maintenance
Trim off any brown or yellow fronds at the base using clean, sharp scissors. Keep the leaves clean by gently dusting them or wiping them with a damp cloth to allow for better photosynthesis.

Pests
Kentia palms are generally resistant to pests but can occasionally attract spider mites, mealybugs, or scale. Treat infestations promptly with insecticidal soap, neem oil, or by wiping the pests off with a damp cloth.

Repotting
Repot Kentia palms only when they become root-bound, which typically happens every 2-3 years. Use a slightly larger pot with drainage holes and fresh, well-draining soil. Avoid damaging the roots during the process, as they can be sensitive.

Please attach a photo of the faulty or damaged plant. Other items can be returned for a refund within 30 days as long as they're unused and in re-saleable condition.
