Easy to grow and maintain, the Carex plant, sold as a trio, has long leaves with creamy-white borders that create the illusion of a striped foliage. This mixed variety includes deciduous and evergreen ornamental grasses, that would work well in a diverse range of outdoor spaces from flower borders and beds, to patio pots in urban gardens.
Just to confuse you - Carex plants are not true grasses but instead belong to the family of Cyperaceae plants.
This plant will thrive with full sun or partial shade and likes its soil to be moist. In fact, keeping its soil well hydrated helps to retain this plant's beautiful colour. Carex needs trimming back once it has flowered. This plant is also non-toxic, so safe around your furry friends.
Varieties of Carex may vary.
