Native to Australia, the Alocasia Stingray can reach over 100 feet tall in the wild, but don't worry, it won't take over your home, as indoors it grows much more slowly, reaching around two to three feet. There's no elephant in the room here either, as the Alocasia is proud of its huge leaves, reaching up to a metre wide in the wild - and of course, is where it gets its nickname.
The Elephant Ear is among at least 79 species of Alocasia. Talk about having a big family!
If you want your Alocasia Stingray to grow bigger, repot it, as it tends to restrict its size to the amount of space it has available within its pot. The waxy texture of its leaves are prone to dust, so wipe them down with a damp cloth regularly.

Jo's Top Tip
The Elephant Ear goes through a dormant period where its leaves may fade in colour and even die so do not panic or doubt your plant parenting ability - it's normal. Your plant will require less water during this time.
Does not come with decorative pot.
